They say its one for sure way to destroy something, to forget about it. If we fell to record an event then that events may as well never happened. For the number one killer of memory is time. However, time protected this land, the land of the Forgotten. Until one day, the knowing came.
You probably heard of the story of a sword know as the Excalibur. How it was cased in a stone waiting for the rightful king to pull it out. When finally a boy by the name of Author, after many people tried, finally succeeding in pulling it out. Well this is not the story of that sword. This isnt the story of the boy for that matter. This is the story of the stone.
It was over five hundred years ago, when a wizard cased that spell on the stone. Usually when a spell is cased on an object, after time the spell depletes. No one knows if it was the strength of the spell, or the time it took for someone to pull the sword out of the stone. However, after time the magic on the stone spread t
a dangerous hallucinationThe light coming through the window was bright,
much too bright.
Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
the sun was setting
through the window facing east.
I should have seen the hutch,
shelves lined with bone china
decorated with delicate leaves and vines.
I was so thirsty
and reaching for cups that should have been there.
Instead I found a billboard of butterflies,
the colors raging
more than any rainbow
I'd ever seen.
Their wings fluttered and flashed
yet somehow they moved in slow motion.
I wanted to stand,
wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
There was a small vial
of insulin in my pocket
